Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantieme Perpetual

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantieme Perpetual – Longest, most difficult to pronounce name in the history of perpetual calendars, but that doesn't mean it's a bad watch. In fact, it's an amazing watch. This bad boy features a cylindrical tourbillon with full perpetual AND active zodiac sign display http://www.d4l.co/.

The most striking characteristic of this new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master watch is indeed the granular blue dial, mimicking the celestial canopy. This sets the tone for the entire timepiece, which, you'll notice at 3 o'clock, displays a perpetual moon phase. This is connected to the clever perpetual calendar system. At 12 o'clock you will see not only the traditional perpetual indications in apertures and a dial, but also the complete zodiac calendar. The QP is powered in a clever way by the in-house tourbillon at 6 o'clock and does not have the negative effect on the power train that we'd typically find with a perpetual calendar.

All calendar and moon-phase displays are pre-programmed, meaning that one simple adjuster will advance every indication on the calendar, which, as anyone with a perpetual will tell you, is a great, great thing. At 6 o'clock is the stunning, completely in-house tourbillon with cylindrical balance spring developed by JLC – one that they claim is absolutely peerless for chronometric performance. The entire tourbillon case is titanium, making it lighter than most and again managing power in the most effective way. You'll also notice the dial is on two different tiers, giving the tourbillon the appearance of actually floating.
